Your altar is the fixed point of your practice — design one aligned to your intention and your natal signature, and the working gains a field it can root in.
An altar is not decoration; it is a piece of terrain you claim, a fixed point in space where intention is anchored and force is channeled. A generic altar serves generic work; a tailored altar serves a specific practitioner with a specific signature, and the difference is measurable in results. The direction you face, the elements you seat, the symbols you load, and the planetary hues on the cloth all either reinforce your natal strength or bleed against it. I have corrected more weak workings through the altar than through any other single adjustment, because most practitioners work over a throne that argues with their own chart. Cover the surface completely; the cloth separates mundane space from sacred space.
Place white pillar (left) at the left and black taper (right) at the right. Light the left first, then the right.
Never blow out a working candle — pinch it out or use a snuffer.
a chalice of water and a dish of earth
One item per element, plus one personal token (ring, photo, stone)
Your hand is the tradition; write your own words and mean them.
Symbol: a five-pointed star or personal sigil — this is the anchor of the working.
Offering: wine or juice, bread, and a lit candle kept alive, renewed at each working.
Incense: frankincense and myrrh blend, lit after the candles.
Optional: a bell or chime, rung once at the start and once at the close.
Best day: the day of your birth-planet — best hour: the hour of your ruling planet.
Standard tip: invest in a good cloth and real beeswax candles; the rest can grow over time.

Speak them aloud once over each item as you place it, then once over the whole altar.
• On the new moon: dust, refresh the offering, replace wilted flowers.
• On the full moon: leave the altar in moonlight overnight to recharge.
• Quarterly: re-consecrate with fresh words when your goal changes.
