Horary astrology answers a single question with a single chart cast for the moment of the asking — the universe does not speculate, it rules.
Most astrology reads a person; horary reads a moment. Cast the chart at the exact instant a question is asked, and the sky renders its verdict on that specific matter — no waiting for transits, no ambiguity of a life span. I have used horary to rule on matters that cannot wait and should not be guessed: whether to sign a contract, whether the money will arrive, whether an adversary is lying, whether a venture will live. The querent is answered by the Ascendant ruler; the matter by the seventh-house ruler; and the Moon's condition tells us whether the outcome can be trusted or will shift.
